I took a trip down to Allstyle Scooters in Portsmouth to visit my old racing mate Geoff Stephens. He utilises the workshop area out the back to do his scooter tuning. To my surprise, as I entered the establishment my eyes immediately fell upon two scooters which must be the most famous two wheelers on the planet. The actual bikes from the film Quadrophenia. Featuring the soundtrack written by The Who rock group, and made in 1979, this film epitomises a small slice in time from the late sixties. These aren't mock ups, or fakes. These are the original registered bikes lovingly restored to their original splendour by Kevin Percival, joint owner of Allstyle cooters
